Coasters 3

Here's a makeshift calendar for this month, 13 years ago. Notice the "skipped" labels and the Super Bowl party at Jane's.

This one is precious! We've never seen such a fetish for playing with one's hair. Fantastisch!

In the next week I will begin posting a series of images that are critical of the choice of material for our classes. Herr Brauner, Frau Klose, and Frau Lazda really take the brunt of my sentiment. Whoa, I've really mellowed. Viel Spaß!

Coasters 2

The second entry down Errinnerungstraße from Spring 1993. Apologies to those readers not familiar. This is a service to the Coasters, Three seniors and a sophomore who routinely ditched the profs and the eleven underclasssheep along on the study tour of Germany. "Coasters" derived from the group's habit of collecting Bierdekln from each establishment we dined at.

The two journal entries depict personalities in our classes. One Mädchen compensated her limited language abilities with spirited gesticulations that offended the deaf. The other described another person's habit which, some suspected, had a consequence in personal appearance.

Enjoy!

Noomer Foomf!

Grüß Gott Coasters!

My kid sister Lauren is living the life of a carefree college student in Valladolid, Spain this semester. As I dug around to find artifacts that would offer her advice, I stumbled upon the famous doodling notebook from our days at the Volkshochschule in Rosenheim. As the days go by, I'll scan a new page for your reminiscence. I spent 5 minutes going through it and laughed out loud several times. Boy were we jaded, narrowly-experienced in life and downright funny. The first installment appears to be us making fun of the Mara-Sara-Karen crowd and their simple inability to pronounce German words. I couldn't possibly send more than one at a time because it's too fun to laugh a while and wait for later. Actually, to avoid clogging the inboxes, I will post them on my fledgling, then defunct and now up again blog. That will make it easier to just bookmark and check up. So sorry to all for being so dang schreibfaul these past few years. I hope we can reconstruct email addressbooks and ultimately arrange another get-together (it'll be SIX years this summer since the fun time where Georg attempted to sleep atop his warden sedan on my street.

Warm Regards and we miss y'all!

And here's a self-made catrogram of the city-center. Vespucci had nothing on my skills!
