As Obamatoxicants drifted out of Tampa, Centcom's eyes were on the testimony of future Centcom commander Gen. David Petraeus and Lt. Gen. Ray Odierno who will take his place at HQ Multinational Forces-Iraq. Gen. Petraeus told the committee that he may announce troop reductions later this year if conditions continue to improve as they have for the past year. NPR's Daniel Schorr's daily drone on the drive-home news came before I could reach the pre-sets button. This could've been dangerous because his voice and simplistic viewpoints rapidly draw all energy and life out of my bones. He's like that prescription that advises no driving or heavy lifting for a while. In his own way, he hailed the new overtures by Iran for sweeping agreements on nuclear issues, drug interdiction, and peace in the Middle East while painting anyone remotely suspicious as warmongering, and I'll bet...red state NASCAR simpletons!
